I’m Andrew Sorensen, a Chemical Engineer (Clarkson University) and competitive sailor who races on Long Island Sound. After years of searching for extreme weather skin protection for sailing and skiing that was actually safe, I stopped looking and started formulating.
Most “healthy” brands still rely on chemical UV absorbers that penetrate the skin and accumulate in the body. I engineered those chemicals out entirely. Sunny Sauce is a chemical-free alternative to drugstore skin protection — a high-density, environmentally inert mineral shield that stays on the skin’s surface where protection belongs. No oxybenzone, no octinoxate, no parabens, no synthetic preservatives.
And because you’re going to wear it every time you’re on the water or the mountain, it should be doing something good for your skin at the same time. So it does.
